FAQs

Can essential oils be ingested?

We do not recommend ingesting essential oils. They are highly concentrated and may cause harm if swallowed without guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.

Can essential oils be applied directly to the skin?

Pure essential oils are very concentrated and should generally be diluted in a carrier oil before applying to the skin. A patch test is always recommended to check for sensitivities. All of our products, with the exception of diffuser blends, have been diluted with a carrier oil and are safe for topical application.

How do I know if I’m allergic to an essential oil?

Perform a patch test by applying a small amount of diluted oil to your inner forearm. Wait 24 hours to see if any redness, itching, or irritation occurs. If so, discontinue use.

What should I do if I have a reaction to an essential oil?

Discontinue use immediately. Wash the area with mild soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

Are essential oils safe to use during pregnancy?

Some essential oils may not be recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before using essential oils while pregnant or breastfeeding. When in doubt, avoid direct skin application and stick to very gentle, diluted use.

Are essential oils safe for pets?

Many pets, especially cats and dogs, can be sensitive to essential oils. Some oils may be toxic if ingested or applied directly to your pet’s skin or fur. If you use essential oils in a diffuser, ensure the space is well-ventilated and your pet can leave the room freely. Always check with your veterinarian before introducing essential oils around animals.

How should I store my essential oils safely?

Keep essential oils in their original, tightly sealed bottles, stored in a cool, dark place. Always keep them out of reach of children and pets.

Do essential oils expire?

Yes. Essential oils naturally degrade over time. Most oils last 1-3 years when stored properly in a cool, dark place. Citrus oils have a shorter self life, while woods and resins may last longer. Always check for changes in scent, texture, or colour.

Are essential oils the same as “fragrance oils”?

No. Essential oils are naturally derived from plants, while fragrance oils are often synthetic blends.

Are your products meant to treat or cure health conditions?

No. Our products are for cosmetic and lifestyle purposed only. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Are your hand soaps safe for sensitive skin?

Our soaps are made with gentle ingredients, but essential oils can sometimes cause irritation for sensitive skin. We recommend a patch test before regular use.

Do your products contain synthetic fragrance?

No. All of our products are scented only with natural essential oils.

How do I use an essential oil roller?

Gently roll onto pulse points such as wrists, neck, or behind the ears. For external use only.

Can I apply rollers directly to my skin?

Yes. Our rollers are pre-diluted in carrier oils for safe topical use. However, always perform a patch test before first use.

Can I use rollers on my face?

We recommend avoiding use around the eyes, mouth, or broken skin.

Can I use sugar scrubs on my face?

Our scrubs are formulated for the body. The sugar granules may be too abrasive for delicate facial skin.

Will sugar scrubs made my shower slippery?

Yes, as they contain natural oils. Please use caution when rinsing and clean your shower or tub after use.

How should I store my sugar scrub?

Keep tightly sealed in a cool, dry place. Avoid introducing water into the jar, as this can shorten the shelf life.
